Manage Self-Sabotage

How do you get in your own way? Each of us can feel negative from time to time. Our limiting thoughts impact our self-beliefs which in turn impact our actions. I use a number of tools and techniques to break through the chaos and confusion which impact results. Life brings challenges; the way we respond to these challenges determines our outcomes.

Learn to Focus

It is difficult to focus when our minds are cluttered with doubts and fears. Tried and true focusing techniques bring us to the present moment and turn down the volume on the mind chatter so we can focus on what is most important.

Master Your Time and Energy

In a world that promotes 24/7 availability and endless demands, we need to create boundaries. Once we explore values, deciding what we say yes to and what we say no to becomes much clearer.

Incorporate More Strategic Planning

You have already experienced success. Just imagine how far you will go using your own personal strategic plan that includes what is most important to you. We build on your strengths and learn to adapt to your weaknesses.

Reignite Your Passion

If you have become disillusioned in your career or position, you are not alone. The overall global average employee engagement score was 56% in 2010 — down 4% year over year.

The economic downturn that started in 2008 has had a significant impact on companies and the resulting decisions made by management. These decisions have had an impact on employee engagement levels globally. (Ion Hewitt 2010) You deserve to be in a career that recognizes your strengths and ignites your passion. Together, we explore your values, strengths and purpose so you can rediscover your chosen career path or plan a new career that ignites your passion.

On a personal note

I first learned of coaching by observing other professional colleagues who hired a business coach. I noticed how they started to change. They were more confident, more direct, more purposeful and more successful. They became more clear and went for what was most important to them and either landed a higher level executive position or shifted priorities to spend more time with their family.

Consequently, when I was National Sales Manager of The Vancouver Sun and The Province, I sought out coaching to become a more effective leader. Over three years, I worked with three different coaches, and I was encouraged by my coach to take a Fundamentals course. In that first course, I felt like I had come home. I quickly signed up for the complete training and certification with Coaches Training Institute.

The more I practiced coaching, the more I wanted to coach. I was thrilled to help people go for their biggest dream and learn along the way. I started my own practice so I could devote my time to working with people with their individual agendas.

Looking back, I recognize I’ve always been an avid learner and have had a passion for self-development, success and motivation, and it seems that all the roads of my life somehow drew me to this work. I love to help executives bring out the best in themselves and their teams to transform organizations. My library is full of books on professional development, and I’m a strong advocate of lifelong learning.

I’ve been blessed with a loving husband – married for over 16 years and I have two wonderful adult stepsons. I live in majestic Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada surrounded by mountains and the ocean and enjoy a full life I love and am grateful for.

I love spending time with my family and friends and spending time outdoors, particularly boating, golfing, skiing and hiking. I also love music and cooking, as well as to read, learn and keep growing in life.

My core values are connection, freedom, achievement, vitality, honesty and growth.
